How I work it out

Your five numbers, multiplied by these assumptions. If yours are different, we adjust them in the review.

  • An hour of work is worth €20.
  • Booking or moving an appointment by phone or WhatsApp takes 3 minutes, and 3 in 10 clients would book online themselves.
  • A reminder prevents about 3 in 10 no-shows. That is what a Cochrane review measured with SMS; today the app reminds by email. Source
  • Each shared machine takes 15 minutes a week to juggle and loses or gives away one appointment a month to a clash.
  • With more than one practitioner, 1 in 10 appointments changes and telling the other one takes 2 minutes.
