1. In brief
- We do not use third-party, analytics or advertising cookies. There are no tracking pixels, external maps or embedded social networks, and the typefaces and photographs are served from our own servers.
- The presentation website does not use cookies. It only stores in your browser the sector you choose on the home page (key
sitio.sector), and only if you choose one. - The centres’ application, the booking portal and the administration panel use only three essential session cookies to sign in, and a few values in the browser’s storage to remember the preferences you choose (language, theme, centre, diary view).
- That is why we do not ask for your consent or show a cookie banner: everything we use is exempt under Article 22.2 of the LSSI.
2. What they are
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser and that the browser sends back to the server. Local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) are browser spaces where a page keeps data that only that page reads: the first stays until it is deleted; the second disappears when you close the tab. We apply the same rules to all of them.
3. Exactly what we use
All of them are first-party ([Nombre] sets them, nobody else). None contains patient data, unless a platform administrator types it into the technical console (last row).
| Name | Type | Where | Purpose | Duration | Exempt? Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
sitio.sector | localStorage | Presentation website | Remember the sector you chose on the home page so we can show it to you next time | Persistent until you delete it | Yes. Interface preference chosen by you (if you arrive through a sector link, it is not stored) |
gemma_sesion | Cookie (httpOnly, secure) | Centres’ application | Keep the centre staff member signed in | Browser session; the server invalidates it after the period of inactivity set by the centre (60 minutes by default) | Yes. Strictly necessary to provide the service you requested (access with your account) |
gemma_paciente | Cookie (httpOnly, secure) | Booking portal | Keep your session on the portal while you check or book appointments | Browser session; the server invalidates it after 30 minutes of inactivity | Yes. Strictly necessary for the service requested |
gemma_plataforma | Cookie (httpOnly, secure) | Administration panel | Keep the platform administrator’s session | Browser session; the server invalidates it after 60 minutes of inactivity | Yes. Strictly necessary and for security |
gemma.centro | localStorage | Centres’ application | Remember the code of the last centre you signed in to, so you do not have to type it again | Persistent until you delete it | Yes. Interface preference chosen by you |
gemma.idioma | localStorage | Application, portal and panel | Remember the language you chose | Persistent until you delete it | Yes. Interface preference chosen by you |
gemma.tema | localStorage | Application, portal and panel | Remember whether you chose the light or dark theme | Persistent until you delete it | Yes. Interface preference chosen by you |
gemma.avisosOcultos | localStorage | Centres’ application | Remember which maintenance notices you have closed, so they are not shown again | Persistent until you delete it | Yes. Interface preference chosen by you |
gemma-soporte-visto | localStorage | Centres’ application | Remember the date you last viewed support, to tell you whether there are new replies | Persistent until you delete it | Yes. Necessary for the support feature you use |
gemma.agenda.vista | sessionStorage | Centres’ application | Remember the diary view you chose (for example, day or week) while you work | Until the tab is closed | Yes. Interface preference chosen by you |
gemma-consola-historial | sessionStorage | Administration panel (platform administrators only) | Keep the last 20 queries typed into the technical console so they can be repeated | Until the tab is closed | Yes. Necessary for the tool the administrator uses |
The three cookies are marked httpOnly (the page’s code cannot read them), are sent only over a secure connection in production and only to the part of the server that needs them.
4. Why we do not ask for your consent
Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI) requires consent to store or read information on your device, except where it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested. The Spanish Data Protection Agency’s guide on the use of cookies treats as exempt, among others, user-input and session cookies, security cookies and cookies that personalise the interface chosen by the user (such as language), provided they are used only for that purpose.
Everything we use fits those categories: it lets you sign in securely or remembers what you have chosen. It is not used to measure you, profile you or show you advertising, and it is not shared with anyone.
5. If this changes
If we ever add non-exempt cookies or storage (for example, analytics, videos or third-party maps), we will not activate them without your prior consent: we will show you a notice where you can accept, reject or configure just as easily, we will update this table, and you will be able to withdraw your consent at any time.
6. How to delete this data
- Signing out of the application or the portal invalidates the session on the server. Session cookies and session storage are deleted when you close the browser or the tab.
- To delete local storage, use your browser’s option to delete website data (in most: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data). If you do, the application will return to its default language and theme and will ask for the centre code again, and the presentation website will forget the sector you chose.
- Help for each browser: [enlaces a la ayuda de Chrome, Firefox, Safari y Edge].
Blocking session cookies will prevent you from signing in to the application and the portal.
